Renie has raised very sizeable sums of money for Cherry Lodge in the past, thanks in part to the generosity of a local BNI Fortune group. This time she has chosen a novel fundraising activity – raising money for Cherry Lodge while taking up hang gliding. On her enthuse fundraising page she writes: “Hang gliding is something I’ve always wanted to do, and I’ve decided at last to throw care to the wind and go for it.”
Renie has been involved with Cherry Lodge Cancer Care since 2012, when she became a member after being diagnosed with breast cancer. As a cancer survivor, Renie wanted to give something back to Cherry Lodge and since 2015 she has been one of Cherry Lodge’s most loyal volunteers. She is a qualified hypnotherapist and is happy to give her time to help people going through a similar experience to her own. She is also often to be seen helping at Cherry Lodge fundraising events.
