Bupa counselling and emotional well-being support

Macmillan Cancer Care and Bupa are working in partnership to support people who are struggling with the emotional impacts of cancer. They are offering six free one-to-one counselling sessions, via phone or video call, to anyone with cancer. Cookery Classes with World Cancer Research Fund and Life Kitchen

World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) with Life Kitchen are offering free, online cookery classes for people who have been affected by cancer. Click here for information. Simply email informed@wcrf.org to register.

Healthwise Cancer Rehabilitation Programme

Barnet Healthwise is offering adults who have received a cancer diagnosis within the last 5 years a 12-session, guided physical activity plan in local gyms or as a fitness class. Suitable before, during and after treatment. GP referral is needed. Leaflets are available at Cherry Lodge.

Maggie’s Centres

Cancer Information and Support centres at hospitals, including Maggie’s at the Royal Free in Hampstead.

Nightingale Cancer Support Centre

The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre, based in Enfield, offers a range of Information and Support services.

Penny Brohn UK

Penny Brohn UK offers everybody with cancer a choice of personalised, holistic care, helping people feel better in mind, body and spirit. Support is available in-person at the Penny Brohn Centre near Bristol and also online, including exercise classes, nutrition advice, psychological support and relaxations.

Ramblers Wellbeing Walks

Ramblers Wellbeing Walks are open to all and are recommended to CL members. Weekly walks, led by an experienced instructor, set off from Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre on Friday mornings at 10.30am.
