Autumn 2018 Newsletter now online

Everyone on the Cherry Lodge mailing list should by now have received their copy of the October 2018 Cherry Lodge newsletter in the post. It is also possible, via this website, to download a pdf of the newsletter to read onscreen or to print out. Note that if you no longer wish to receive a copy of the newsletter by post, you can unsubscribe by contacting Tina by phone on 020 8441 7000 or by email.

This newsletter begins with ‘Moving on Up’, an article by CL Outreach Nurse, Kirsty Mabb, about the benefits to CL members of the Move4You programme delivered by Tottenham Hotspur Foundation with Macmillan Cancer Support. Another feature article, from Freddy Kater, celebrates the handing over of a cheque for an amazing £35,000 from Summer Soulstice, made possible by the generosity of festival supporters shocked by this year’s despicable burglary after the main event in June. In July, Freddy received the prestigious Order of Mercy for her many years of dedicated voluntary service to Cherry Lodge – and there is a photo to prove it! Also honoured in the newsletter is the gifted sculptor and former CL member, Judith Veal. Regular features include: ‘Letter to the Editor’ (with information about support available to carers)’; our ‘Bits and Pieces’ noticeboard; and a summary of CL ‘Services and Approach’.

The Cherry Lodge newsletter is edited by Grant Whitaker, who writes: ‘If you have any news, thoughts, or comments please email me or pass a message on through someone at Howard House – many thanks’. Grant’s email address is: whitakerge@aol.com
