School groups singing for Cherry Lodge

Shoppers at The Spires on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th December 2015 had the pleasure of hearing children from Barnet primary and secondary schools singing and playing Christmas music to raise funds for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care.

Taking part this year were singers and instrumentalists from the following schools: Broadfields, Cromer Road, Danegrove, Foulds, Livingstone, Queen Elizabeth’s Boys’, Sacred Heart, St Catherine’s, Underhill and Whitings Hill. Our photographs show pupils from Danegrove and Queen Elizabeth’s Boys’.

Thank you from Cherry Lodge to everyone involved in this annual fund-raising event: the Spires management, the children and their teachers, and the Cherry Lodge volunteers who collected the money. Thank you also to footballer Jermaine Jenas, who made the day for quite a few people by agreeing to pose for photographs (photos 1 and 2 below).

Finally, thank you to everyone who put money in the collecting buckets. Your support is greatly appreciated. The total raised over the two days was an impressive £909.55.
