Volunteers Christmas Party 2015

Cherry Lodge Cancer Care relies on volunteers to work alongside staff members to provide its wide range of information and support services to people affected by cancer.

The Volunteers Christmas Party, held this year on Friday 4th December at Totteridge Village Hall, was a very enjoyable and successful event. A good cross section of volunteers – including shop helpers, van drivers, fundraisers, therapists, befrienders and receptionists – took up Yvonne’s invitation to come to the party. People had fun with the dress code of ‘red and/or green’ (note especially the flashing bow tie in photo 3 below) and appreciated the annual offering of a free raffle ticket as well as the good spread of food and the friendly bar service (see photo 1).

The party gave staff and trustees an opportunity to say thank you to at least some of the people who have given their time so generously to help Cherry Lodge in 2015. Thanks are also extended here on the website to the volunteers who were unable to attend and also to Yvonne and everyone who helped her put on such an enjoyable evening.
