Schoolchildren’s carols raised £1,000+ for Cherry Lodge

Cherry Lodge Cancer Care sends a massive thank you to all the schoolchildren (and their teachers) who together raised a fabulous £1,037.62 to help fund Cherry Lodge’s many information and support services for local people affected by cancer.

Pupils from eight Barnet primary and secondary schools gathered at The Spires Shopping Centre on two Wednesdays in December to sing carols and perform other festive music. The children had clearly practised hard and their performances were first rate. The shoppers were well entertained and, reminded of Cherry Lodge’s work, were more than happy to reward the children’s efforts by contributing to what proved to be a truly grand total!

Schools taking part in 2019 were: Cromer Road, Foulds, Queenswell and Livingstone (all on 5th December), followed by Broadfields, Danegrove, Whitings Hill and QE Boys’ (on 12th December). The school that raised most this year was Broadfields.
