Cherry Lodge Cancer Care’s first Sip & Paint evening, on Wednesday 1st July 2026, was a successful and enjoyable event, bringing together members and supporters for a creative evening.
The session was led by local artist Julie Westmore from Arkley. Bahamian-born Julie takes her inspiration from nature and everyday life. Participants enjoyed creating their own floral paintings in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere while sharing refreshments and a glass of Pimms. Everyone embraced the opportunity to learn new painting techniques and then take away their creations.
The evening raised £320 towards helping local people affected by cancer. Special thanks are sent to Julie and Emily for generously donating their time, expertise and art supplies, making this such a very enjoyable evening. Thank you also to everyone who attended and supported the event.
