Thank you from Cherry Lodge Cancer Care to John Lewis, Brent Cross for supporting us through their Community Matters scheme. Thank you also to the many customers at the store’s Place to Eat restaurant who put their green tokens into the Cherry Lodge Cancer Care container.
Cherry Lodge fundraising coordinator Tina Papasavva went to the Brent Cross store on Tuesday 27th February 2018 to collect a very welcome cheque for £840. This was our share of the donation from the Community Matters scheme running at the John Lewis Place to Eat restaurant for the three-month period starting last November. The presentation was made by Ann Hill, Community Liaison Coordinator at John Lewis, Brent Cross. Tina was also delighted to learn that Ann wants to work in partnership with local charities, including Cherry Lodge. John Lewis can offer 1,000 hours of voluntary help a year and are keen to revamp our shop or a therapy room. They will also support us by donating ex window merchandise to boost our fundraising.
