Over the years, Cherry Lodge has often had reason to thank the very charming patrons of The Coffee Bean coffee shop. Not only do brothers Krino and Paul serve excellent coffees, sandwiches, light lunches and cakes to their customers in The Spires, they have often provided refreshments, completely free of charge, to be enjoyed by Cherry Lodge members at our Tuesday drop-ins.
This festive season, the brothers have really done us proud by generously donating the proceeds of their Christmas raffle. Tempted by the prize of a Christmas hamper filled with delicious items – and perhaps encouraged by the brothers’ Christmas pudding t-shirts (see photograph, with Krino on the left) – Coffee Bean customers joined in the fun and raised £246 for Cherry Lodge.
