If you would like to put on an event to raise money on our behalf, either as an individual or through your workplace or another organisation, we would be delighted to hear from you.

We believe that raising money for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care should be a joint venture and we will be happy to support you in any way we can. For example, our Fundraising team can give you advice, help you plan and perhaps run your event, help you with publicity, lend you promotional material, and, as appropriate, provide Cherry Lodge signs, T-shirts and certificates.

Whether your plans are big or small we really would love to hear from you. We can help you over the phone, in person at our Centre, or by coming to talk to your group. For more information please contact our Charity Administrator and Fundraising Events Coordinator, Tina Papasavva, on 020 8441 7000 or email tina@cherrylodgecancercare.org.uk.5.

Events at The Landsby

We again thank Myra Goldberg for her ongoing support of Cherry Lodge. 0ver the last few years, working with Tina, Myra has organised a run of very successful and imaginative events in aid of Cherry Lodge in the luxurious surroundings of The Landsby in Stanmore. Myra’s most recent event at the Landsby was the Festive Extravaganza on Monday 24th November 2025 featuring some very tempting high-class stalls. Other events in aid of Cherry Lodge this year were: Tea and Talk at the Landsby on 20th October, with guest speaker Esther Rinkoff; a very successful Summer Sale on 9th August; and a Taste of Flamenco and Tapas on 24th March.

Cha Nights at the Arkley Club

Thank you very much indeed to Keith for organising Cha Nights at the Arkley Club to raise money for Cherry Lodge. During 2025 there have been four very popular and successful Cha Nights, held – in February, May, September, and most recently on Firday 28th November. All proceeds from these very events are donated to Cherry Lodge Cancer Care. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy great music from the 1960s and ’70s and dance the evening away for a very affordable £5 entry fee. We are very much looking forward to more Cha Nights in 2026.

Hadley Wood Golf Club

Cherry Lodge Cancer Care thanks Hadley Wood Golf Club for selecting us as their chosen charity. With Katherine Edwards (Co-chair of Cherry Lodge) as Lady Captain, there have been some very interesting fundraising events for us held at the club during 2025. Most recent of these was the very well organised and popular HWGC Christmas Market on Thursday 27th November 2025, which raised an impressive £2,500 to help fund Cherry Lodge’s many services.

Summer Soulstice 2025

The Summer Soulstice festival returned to Old Elizabethans’ Memorial Playing Fields on Saturday 21st June 2025. This was a fantastic day out for lovers of soul music, with top class performances from Kenny Thomas, Jaki Graham and Lauraine Mcintosh. It was followed, on August Bank Holiday Sunday (24th August) by the customary, follow-up Soulstice Payback event at the Black Horse in Barnet. Held each year in memory of Andy Weekes, the Summer Soulstice festival is by far the largest third-party event in aid of Cherry Lodge Cancer Care. This year’s payback cheque brought the total raised for us since the first festival in 2007 to an incredible £530,000. Trustees, staff and CL members are extremely grateful to Summer Soulstice for this wonderful support.

Psychobilly Kicks Back Again

Cherry Lodge Cancer Care is hugely grateful to Psychobilly Kicks Back (PKB) and the wider psychobilly rockabilly music community for their fantastic ongoing support. Their donation of £1,889 in early 2025 takes the total they have raised for us to date to a most impressive £52,595. Once again, we give special thanks to PKB founder Steve Meadham and his wife Amanda.

New Ground OWCH

OWCH (Older Women’s Co-housing Community) moved into ‘New Ground’, Union Street, Barnet in November 2016 and have been supporters of Cherry Lodge from the beginning. In November 2023, New Ground resident and Cherry Lodge volunteer Charlotte, was interviewed on BBC Radio London and took the opportunity to tell people about CL’s very special place in the community. We thank OWCH for their ongoing support, including proceeds from an inhouse Festive Quiz on 14th December 2024 and a Nearly New Clothes Sale at New Ground on Saturday 7th June 2025.
