It was a fabulous afternoon for everyone who attended the Tea and Talk event in the luxurious setting of The Landsby, Stanmore on Monday 20th October 2025. All proceeds will go to help fund the many services of Cherry Lodge Cancer Care.
Landsby residents and Cherry Lodge supporters were treated to a fascinating talk by Esther Rinkoff about the renowned Rinkoff Bakery. Esther described the remarkable journey of the bakery, from its foundation over a century ago by Hyman and Fanny Rinkoff, through to Ether’s husband Ray, who became a Master Baker and has worked there since 1967. Today, the family legacy continues with their two daughters, a nephew, and now great nephews carrying the tradition forward.
Over 60 people attended the event and were treated to delicious smoked salmon bagels, cakes, and tea/coffee – all beautifully served by the ever-attentive Landsby staff led by Smit Patel and his team.
A raffle added extra excitement, with lots of wonderful prizes won. A huge thank you to our loyal volunteers who helped make the day a success. Charlotte, Bobbi, and Dr Anne Marie and of course our great supporter Myra Goldberg who was instrumental in organising the event with Tina.
