Support Groups

Specific Cancer Support Groups

You do not need to be a Member of Cherry Lodge to join our support groups for people affected by site-specific cancers. These groups meet every 6 weeks and are facilitated by one of the Cherry Lodge Cancer Information Nurses. Some groups meet in person, others via Zoom.

The Lymphoma Group

Different days of the week at 6.30pm. Next meeting: 10th April 2024

Ovarian Support Group (via Zoom)

Tuesdays at 6.15pm, via Zoom. Next meeting: 9th April 2024

Men’s Group

For gentlemen diagnosed with prostate, bladder and testicular cancers. If you have a different cancer but feel you would still like the support of this group please contact Fiona on 020 8441 7000 or email fiona@cherrylodgecancercare.org.uk.

Support for other Groups

Cancer Carers’ Support Group (via Zoom)

This group is for people who are helping a family member, partner or friend through their cancer journey.

Zoom meetings will take place on the 2nd Monday of every month, 10.30am-12 noon

Cornflower Cancer Support Group (at Burnt Oak)

This group is now running again after being suspended during the Covid pandemic. Welcoming anyone affected by cancer, including relatives and friends. It provides information on available services, relaxation, therapies, and informative talks. The group meets at the Parish Hall, Annunciation Church, 4 Thirleby Road, Burnt Oak, Edgware, HA8 0HQ.

Second Tuesday of every month, 6.30-8.00pm
