Barnet is a large borough with a multicultural population, and not everyone finds it easy to get to our Centre in Chipping Barnet. To address the health needs and cancer concerns of people elsewhere in the borough, Cherry Lodge provides a readily accessible Outreach Service with its own specialist nurse.
Kirsty Mabb, Macmillan Outreach Nurse
Kirsty joined Cherry Lodge in 2006, having previously worked in an inner city London borough as a community nurse specialising in palliative care. From 2015 her post is being funded by money raised by Summer Soulstice, resulting in her more informal title of ‘Soulstice Nurse’.
Kirsty holds regular ‘health and wellness outreach surgeries’ at a variety of community venues, listed below. Anyone can be seen, without an appointment, if they have any worrying symptoms or concerns about their general health, or if they have questions about their cancer or its treatment.
For dates and times of the surgeries, or for further information, please contact the individual centres, or contact Kirsty Mabb at Cherry Lodge Cancer Care on 020 8441 7000.

The Cherry Lodge Information Stall has a valuable role enabling us to take information about our services, cancer and general well-being to people within our wider community. The photograph (below) was taken at Sainsbury’s, Potters Bar during Carers Week, 2015. The information stall is also a familiar sight at many of our fundraising events.
