Cherry Lodge Cancer Care is urgently looking for volunteer drivers to take CL members to medical appointments at local hospitals and doctors’ surgeries. Might you be able to help?
Travelling to and from medical appointments by taxi or on public transport can be very expensive as well as tiring. To help address this pressing issue, Cherry Lodge will soon be introducing a new service for our members. Volunteer drivers are currently being recruited to provide free, reliable and friendly transport to help members attend medical appointments, collecting them from home, taking them to their appointment, and taking them home again.
To join our team of drivers, you will need to have your own vehicle, a clean driving licence and insurance. Before you start, we will administer a DBS check and invite you to an induction.
Cherry Lodge will reimburse your petrol and parking expenses from a newly established special fund.
