Support groups, classes and workshops from Paul’s Cancer Support

Cherrry Lodge Cancer Care is very pleased to spread the word about the support groups, classes and workshops offered by Paul’s Cancer Supprt Centre. They are for “anyone with cancer” and are delivered via Zoom. UPDATE (February 2022): The information below is being kept ‘live’ on the CL website to provide background information about the many excellent services and activities offered by Paul’s Cancer Support during the pandemic. Monthly Support Groups
Our monthly online support groups are for anyone affected by cancer. Currently being delivered online via Zoom, they provide a safe and supportive environment where you will meet others in a similar situation and enable you to share your experiences.

  • Prostate Cancer Support Group
    • Thursday 14th October 2021, 2.00pm-3.30pm
    • Thursday 11th November 2021, 2.00pm-3.30pm
  • African Caribbean Support Group
    • Monday 11th October 2021,12.00pm-2.00pm
    • Monday 8th November 2021, 12.00pm-2.00pm
  • Asian Support Group
    • Monday 25th October, 11.30am-1.30pm
  • Breast Cancer Support Goup
    • This is a new group to be launched in the new year

Wellbeing classes and workshops
We are now able to deliver some of our classes and workshops in-person at the centre but the following are all hosted online for you to access wherever you are.

  • Yoga for Cancer with Vicky Fox (online)
    Every Tuesday & Thursday, 11.00am
  • Get Active (online)
    Every Monday, 2.00pm-2.45pm
  • Singing Workshop (online)
    Every Thursday, 2.00pm-3.30pm
  • Move Dance Feel (online)
    Every Monday 6.00pm-7.15pm; Every Friday 10am-11.15am

Breathing and Meditation (new 4-week online course, starting Monday 22nd November)

You are invited to join our next Breathing and Meditation course with specialist therapist Sarah Buckland. This 4-week course specifically introduces participants to the breathing and meditation aspects of yoga. This course will help to:

  • Support the respiratory system
  • Restore energetic balance
  • Help calm any stress, anxiety and fear
  • Support better sleep.

Sarah is specifically trained in yoga for cancer and will help guide you through your practice. This online course will be delivered via Zoom. All you need is somewhere comfortable to sit, ideally a chair with back support.

This course is free to attend and starts on Monday 22nd November, 3.15pm – 4.00pm.
