Summer Soulstice Virtual 2020 + Ticket Donations have raised a wonderful £6,500

Cherry Lodge Cancer Care sends heartfelt thanks to our friends at Summer Soulstice for their fantastic ongoing support. Faced with the disappointment of having to cancel their planned 2020 live festival, the Soulstice crew pulled out all the stops to ensure that music lovers could still enjoy great music, remember Andy Weekes, and help Cherry Lodge Cancer Care continue to provide its cancer information and support services completely free of charge.

On 31st July, Summer Soulstice issued the following update:

SSV2020 + TICKET DONATIONS MEANS A WONDERFUL £6,500

Despite our award winning soul festival being cancelled this year, the love and generosity from our supporters raises a worthy total for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care.

The virtual weekend was a great success on both a production level and with an incredible 50,000+ worldwide viewers over 3 days. We aimed to raise as much funds for the charity as possible, but we know in these difficult times, money is a bigger worry than ever for a lot of people.

But once again, we’ve been humbled by the ongoing generosity of many and we thank everyone who helped us raise £3,293 for our charity benefactors from SSV2020 itself. This total has been added to the £2,857.50 kindly donated by nearly 50 big hearted ticket holders who purchased e-tickets to this year’s cancelled festival. Along with a few other thoughtful contributions, we have managed to raise £6,500 for the good people of Cherry Lodge, which we hope will help them carry on their good work into 2021.

We’d also like to say a thankyou to all the DJs who took part, Natasha Watts for her Friday night PA, to our sponsors JJ Roofing & Cherrywood Refurbishments and to our ace production team: F1 Sound Co, DT Studios and CPL Films.

Most of all we’d like to say a BIG THANKS  to all of you who donated and for all the love and support we’ve been shown this year. We look forward to all getting back together in our field of dreams next year, on Saturday 26th June, for Summer Soulstice 2021.
