It’s just 3 weeks to go to our first Cherry Lodge Cancer Care Big Barnet Walk 5km fundraiser, to be held on Bank Holiday Monday 25th May, from 9am to 12:30pm. This new event is shaping up to be a really special morning – and now’s the perfect time to sign up, get involved, and be part of something meaningful for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care.

Event details
• Meeting at 9:00am at The Orange Tree pub, 7 Totteridge Village, London N20 8NX
• Walk starts at 9:30am
• £10 entry (Under 12s go free)
• On the day, you’ll be signed in and given your walker number to wear with pride as part of the Cherry Lodge community. We’ll kick things off with a short warm-up led by Personal Trainer and fundraising volunteer Sam Abrahams.
• The 5km circular walk will take you through the serene Totteridge fields, down to Finchley Nurseries (perfect for a quick browse of their gorgeous farm shop or toilet break in the café), and back via Totteridge Green, finishing in The Orange Tree pub garden.
• Every participant will receive a goody bag (with surprise goodies inside!) and a medal – a thank you for being part of something so important.
• Why not stay afterwards for a well-earned drink or bite to eat? Or walk back to peruse the family-run Finchley Nurseries.

Volunteers needed
We are looking for volunteer help to make the Big Barnet Walk the best it can be.
We need volunteers for the following:
• Another 5 Marshals – to be stationed at gates and forks in the path – map and briefings provided
• Goody bag packers – nearer to the event day
• Decorators – help us blow up balloons and decorate the start and finish areas just before the event
