Cherry Lodge Cancer Care is currently advertising for an Operations Manager. This is a new, permanent, part-time (15-20 hours a week) post based at our Centre in Barnet, offering a pro rata salary of £40,000 to £45,000.

We are looking to recruit an experienced individual with a strong background in operations, office management and people management. You will play a central role within our small but dynamic team. The role focuses on developing and overseeing the smooth running of our internal systems and processes, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, developing and managing our staff and volunteers, monitoring performance and helping to develop our services and support to Members.
This is a new role. For some time, the Trustees have been concerned about the pressure on the Trustees and Chairman to manage the business on a day-to-day basis and provide staff with the leadership and support they need. This role aims to address those issues.
This broad and varied role combines strategy, leadership, staff management and operational delivery. You will work closely with the Chairman and the Board of Trustees. You will have line management responsibility for all staff and oversee all functions, including Member services, shop management, Finance admin, fundraising, volunteer coordination, HR, Health & Safety, premises, IT and Data Protection. Your role in many of these areas will be to support staff who have direct responsibility for that area. We also have contracts with external companies to provide specialist expertise. i.e., IT and HR.
