Cherry Lodge Cancer Care fundraisers and third-party supporters work hard around the year to put on a programme of interesting events to help fund CL’s many services.

Our first big event of 2024 was the Cherry Lodge Cancer Care/Summer Soulstice Heart & Soul Ball on Saturday 17th February 2024, which raised more than £9,000. Cha Nights at the Arkley Club, in aid of Cherry Lodge, made a very welcome return on Friday 23rd February 2024. On Thursday 21st March 2024, Iris’s Easter Flower Arranging Workshop proved very popular. Cherry Lodge’s annual Easter Sponsored Walk ‘n’ Talk took place in Oakhill Park on Sunday 24th March 2024.

We congratulate our six runners who took part in the 2024 tcs London Marathon on Sunday 21st April 2024 – there is still time to sponsor them for their great achievement. Summer Soulstice is holding a festival Warm-Up event at Barnet’s Black Horse pub on Saturday 4th May 2024, with soulful beats from 4pm until midnight, wood-fired pizza and cocktails. Enjoy a fantastic comedy line-up at Laugh out Loud on Saturday 11th May 2024. Visit the Summer Soulstice website for more information and to buy tickets for Barnet’s very special family music festival, which returns to Old Elizabethans’ Memorial Playing Fields on Saturday 15th June 2024.

Fundraising is vital to Cherry Lodge Cancer Care. Without it, we would not be able to offer free services to all our Members. You can help us by attending our fundraising events, by becoming a Cherry Lodge fundraising volunteer, by getting people to sponsor you to take part in an event or activity, or by putting on your own event on our behalf.

For more information about all aspects of fundraising, in the first instance please contact our Charity Administrator and Fundraising Events Coordinator, Tina Papasavva, on 020 8441 7000 or email tina@cherrylodgecancercare.org.uk.

From quiz nights and tea parties to seasonal fairs and walks, there are numerous events you can enjoy while also supporting Cherry Lodge. Our online Events Programme doesn’t only give you the dates of planned events – it provides more information about them.

Be a Fundraising Volunteer

We need enthusiastic and energetic volunteers to help with Cherry Lodge’s many fundraising activities. Volunteers in our regular Fundraising Team play an important role in the planning and running of our ongoing programme of events. Other volunteers, perhaps with only occasional time to spare, may offer to help out with specific events.

Collection Boxes

To help people raise money for us, we can provide secure, numbered Cherry Lodge Cancer Care collection boxes. You might want to take several if you are holding a fundraising event on our behalf, or you might like one to display prominently at your place of work or in a local shop.

During the course of the year, we are granted permission to use our collection boxes on specific days in supermarkets or shopping centres. Volunteers are always needed to help with these collections.
