Tribute to Adrian Herzmark

What can one say about Adrian? Dozens of lovely things. Husband, father, teacher, nurse, marathon runner, creative cook and trustee of Cherry Lodge. Adrian sadly died on 21st November 2014 at home, surrounded by his loving and always supportive family. He had borne his long illness with bravery, humour and the determination to “live until he died”. Adrian even ran the Dublin marathon with his son, Thomas, after having major surgery. A popular, kind and thoughtful man, endowed with a great sense of community. He will be missed by all of us as he spread an air of peace and quiet, something most of us don’t always manage.

Our photograph, taken at the Cherry Lodge Summer Fair 2012, shows Adrian and helpers proudly displaying and selling his ever-popular relishes and marmalade!
