We are delighted to announce that from January 2026 Tai Chi will be a new group activity option for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care members.
Tai Chi has been described as ‘the perfect exercise for improving the body and relaxing the mind.’ It is highly recommended because it can reduce stress, re-energise, boost your immune system, relax your body, lower blood pressure, help circulation, help strengthen the heart, and improve balance, coordination and memory.
Weekly sessions will be led by Dee Cummins, at the Church Hall of Mary Immaculate and St Gregory the Great, Union St, Barnet, EN5 4HZ.
Thursdays from 10.45 to 11.45am (term-time only).
The 2026 Spring term will run from Thursday 8th January to Thursday 26th March. There will be no classes during half term (12th and 19th February).
For the class you will need to wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in, and flat shoes (trainers or pumps are fine).
Note that you will be asked to complete a PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) form to check that it is safe for you to take part.
After the class, members are invited to a coffee and chat at Howard House, the Cherry Lodge centre, from 12 to 12:30pm.
To book your place, please contact nisha@cherrylodgecancercare.org.uk or call 020 8441 7000.
