The Festive Wreath Making Workshop, held in aid of Cherry Lodge Cancer Care at Hadley Memorial Hall on Thursday 4th December 2025, was another sell-out success. Over the past several years, Iris’s regular seasonal flower arranging events have made her very popular among Cherry Lodge members and supporters. All 20 tickets were sold well ahead of the date.
The event was organised in a similar way to Iris’s previous flower workshops. Iris is a delightful and very knowledgeable teacher. Attendees were treated first to a demonstration of her impressive wreath building skills, with lots of interesting information and useful hints shared as she worked. Then, under Iris’s guidance, people had an opportunity to build a wreath of their own. After the wreath making was completed everyone chatted on and enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea. There was also a raffle, with prizes including beautiful wreaths made by Iris.
Cherry Lodge Cancer Care sends grateful thanks to Iris for once again giving her time, donating all the plants, and putting on such a very enjoyable, useful and successful event. Thank you also to Tina and her volunteers for organising and helping at the event.
