The Cherry Lodge Cancer Care Christmas Fair is always a popular favourite. Our 2025 event was held on Saturday 13th December, back in Wesley Hall, in the heart of High Barnet. Between 11am and 4pm, it was a great attraction for supporters of Cherry Lodge and others in search of festive items, a happy atmosphere and the companionship of others.
On entry, people were given a free raffle ticket, with more tickets on sale at £1 each. The prize was a very tempting Chistmas hamper, generously donated by a Anna Savvides. The Fair opened to the cheerful sound of carol singing by children from Queenswell School. There was also more live music in the afternoon, when a very talented pianist, Sarah Wu, took to the stage and treated us to an hour-long medley of popular tunes. Several stall-holders and others contributed to the festive atmosphere by wearing very eye-catching Christmas jumpers and hats.
Colourful tables around the hall displayed a wide range of seasonal and other tempting items for sale. Thank you to all the stallholders for making this year’s CL Christmas Fair a brilliant opportunity to buy Christmas decorations, beautiful crafted items, jewellery, artworks, and products for pampering yourself or to give to others. Meanwhile, children enjoyed meeting our resident elf and taking part in the kids’ Christmas tombola. As in previous years, delicious home-made soups, cakes and mince pies were on sale in our Festive Cafe.
