Members’ Drop-In (currently suspended)
Message from Dr Margaret M. Clark, Cherry Lodge Chairman
In response to the coronavirus outbreak, it has been decided to suspend all Cherry Lodge drop-ins until further notice.
Cherry Lodge Members’ Drop-In
People who have had an initial appointment with one of our specialist nurses are welcome to attend our Drop-Ins.
There is a weekly Members’ Drop-In each Tuesday morning from 10 am until 12:30 pm. Evening Drop-Ins take place on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month, from 6 pm until 9.30 pm.
Drop-In provides our members with an opportunity to come to the Centre to enjoy coffee, tea, cakes and biscuits and to chat in a friendly and informal setting with members of staff, volunteers and other people who may be going through, or have come through, a similar experience. One of the nurses is usually in the building and can be consulted if the need arises. Macmillan and other information leaflets and booklets are available, together with a selection of books which may be borrowed.
Short sessions of a range of complementary therapies, such as acupuncture, massage (including head and neck), reflexology and healing, are on offer, to be booked on the day. Acupuncture is provided by qualified doctors and all our therapists are qualified, registered and insured.
A raffle, organised by members, provides a bit of fun at morning Drop-Ins as well as making a contribution to Cherry Lodge funds.
Drop-Ins end with a guided meditation and relaxation, including soothing music.
All our Drop-Ins are held at the Cherry Lodge Information and Support Centre at Howard House, 23 Union Street, Barnet.
