Schoolchildren’s Carols for Cherry Lodge

Thank you very much indeed to all the Barnet schoolchildren (and their teachers) who raised money for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care this year by singing carols so beautifully in The Spires Shopping Centre on Wednesday 6th and Wednesday 13th December 2017.

Singing for us on the 6th, when the weather was fairly kind, were children from Cromer Road, Danegrove School, Foulds School, Goodwyn School, Queenswell Junior School and Underhill School. On 13th December, by contrast, people woke to torrential rain and it poured down much of the morning. Fortunately, the decision to get the children – from Broadfields School, Danegrove School Glee Club, Livingstone School and Whitings Hill School – to sing from the balcony was a great success.

The total raised was a very impressive £1,017.84, which will help Cherry Lodge continue to provide its much needed information and support services for people affected cancer.

Thank you too to everyone who put money in the buckets!
