Irene raised the money by holding a tea party in Digswell village church hall on 28th May 2016. She started planning the event while having chemo – and what started as a small afternoon tea in her back garden grew to hiring a hall and leafleting the whole village. Irene’s event raised more than £1,000 in total, which she divided between Cherry Lodge and Cancer Hair Care.
