CL shops are looking good this Christmas!

Cherry Lodge Cancer Care shop managers and volunteers have been working hard to make this a really successful Christmas season for our two shops in Barnet and Borehamwood. If you haven’t visited them recently, please try to find time to call in and help raise funds for Cherry Lodge’s cancer information and support services

As usual, both shop teams have pulled out all the stops to make our Christmas windows look as attractive as possible so as to stand out among the many other charity shops all competing with each other. The Barnet shop has made the most of its small windows with a very attractive and colourful display (see featured photo, right), showing off the newly arrived fabric advent calendars (very popular this year) as well as toys, colouring books, artificial trees in various sizes, and Cherry Lodge Christmas cards. On 2nd December 2017, our assistant shop manager, Annys, and several volunteers gave up their Sunday to open the Barnet shop during the annual Barnet pre-Christmas Street Fair. A seasonal tombola and free mince pies added to the pleasure of the shop’s many customers.

Our other photographs (below) were all taken at our Borehamwood shop, which is also making a big effort for the festive season. The very large window display looks most inviting and features a Christmas tree with baubles in the Cherry Lodge colours. Inside, there is a tempting selection of seasonal and other goods – as well as an ongoing Christmas tombola with some splendid presents.

Thank you to everyone involved in doing Cherry Lodge proud this Christmas!
